You can't ever work too much because there's no such thing as being in too good condition. You can't ever lift too many weights because you can't ever get too strong. You can't ever wrestle too much because you can always do better. Dan Gable - Wrestler (Olympic Gold Medalist and former University of Iowa College Wrestling Coach)
Panthers Come Up Short Against Wildcats
It could have gone either way, but this time it went East’s way. The Panthers won seven matches and East won seven matches. The Wildcats won six matches by way of Pins for 36 points and one match by Forfeit for 6 points, a total of 42 points. The Panthers won four matches by way of Pins for 24 points and three matches by Major Decision for 12 points, at total of 36 points. (Winning scenarios: (a) If the Panthers had won all of their matches by way of a Pin, the score would have been a tie. (b) If the Panthers had won one additional match by way of Pin and also had a 130 weight class wrestler (which East did not), the Panthers would have won by two points. There were signs of overall improvement by some wrestlers, with the goal of them peaking in time for the District tournament on February 4, 2010.
